Terms of service

1. Seller. The products in the lautio.fi online shop are sold by Steinnes Tre AS, Kyrkjeskarvegen 204, 4160 Finnøy, Norway ("Lautio" or "we"). Business ID (org.nr): 937 996 748. Email: info@lautio.fi. The warehouse and the deliveries are located in Finland.

2. Scope. These terms apply to consumer orders placed in the lautio.fi online shop. Consumer sales are governed by the Finnish Consumer Protection Act and other mandatory legislation; these terms do not limit the consumer's statutory rights.

3. Ordering and formation of the contract. Orders are placed at the online shop checkout. We send an order confirmation to your email. A binding contract is formed when we have confirmed the order. We reserve the right not to accept an order, for example because of an obvious pricing error or a sold-out product; in that case we notify you without delay and refund any payment.

4. Prices. Prices are stated in euros and include Finnish value added tax. Delivery costs are shown separately at checkout before the order is confirmed. We reserve the right to change prices; the price valid at the time of ordering applies to the order.

5. Payment. The available payment methods are shown at checkout. Payments are processed by an external payment service provider over a secure connection. We never see or store your card details.

6. Delivery. We deliver within Finland from our warehouse in Finland. Delivery costs, handling times and delivery times are described in the shipping policy. The risk for the product passes to you when you have received the product.

7. Right of withdrawal and returns. You have a 14-day right of withdrawal under the Consumer Protection Act, counted from the day you receive the product. Withdrawal and return instructions are described in the return and withdrawal policy.

8. Liability for faults. We are liable for faults in the product in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act. If the product has a fault, contact us within a reasonable time of noticing it. We primarily repair the fault or deliver a fault-free product; if that is not possible, we refund the purchase price.

9. Product information. Lautio boards are made of wood, a natural material. Grain, tone and small signs of movement vary from board to board and are not faults. Product images are indicative.

10. Personal data. We process personal data in accordance with our privacy policy.

11. Limitation of liability. We are not liable for indirect damages unless mandatory legislation provides otherwise. We are not liable for delays caused by force majeure.

12. Disputes. We aim to resolve any disagreements primarily by negotiation. A consumer has the right to bring the matter before the Finnish Consumer Disputes Board (kuluttajariita.fi). Before that we recommend contacting the Consumer Advisory Services (kkv.fi/kuluttajaneuvonta). The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform (ec.europa.eu/odr) is also available. Finnish law applies to the contract, without prejudice to the protection afforded by mandatory provisions of the consumer's home country.

13. Changes to the terms. We may update these terms. The terms valid at the time of ordering apply to each order.
